Screening Process

STSi follows a very stringent evaluation process to ensure flawless delivery of professional services to its clients.  Determining the qualifications and skills of each candidate has been and will continue to be a hallmark for STSi.  Each member of the STSi recruiting team is a seasoned recruiting professional with significant experience and training in conducting technical interviews. The diagram to the right illustrates the STSi Screening Process.

  1. Conduct Technical Competency Tests - STSi uses third party online web sites for technical assessment testing and aptitude and analytic evaluation.  We require all candidates to complete the relevant Technical Competency Tests and expect the candidate to answer at least 75% of the questions to be qualified for our selection process.  
  2. Conduct Technical Interviews - Once a candidate passes the Technical Competency Tests, our in-house technical experts conduct detailed technical interviews based on the job requirement. STSi will also utilize actively staffed consultants to provide further insight and in-depth evaluations of prospective candidates.  Many STSi consultants are considered experts in their respective technologies and are able to quickly establish the level of understanding a candidate has with a particular technology.
  3. Conduct Résumé Authenticity and Verification Tests - Through our years of experience, we have found that résumés are often fabricated or completely false.  For this reason, we are dedicated to verifying the authenticity of résumés to help resolve some of the common issues many clients are facing in the industry today. Some of the techniques include verifying H1B copies, verifying the building locations and addresses and reviewing driver licenses to validate U.S. experience.
  4. Conduct General, Behavioral and Soft Skills Tests - Each member of the U.S. STSi recruiting team is a seasoned recruiting professional with significant experience and training in conducting behavioral and soft skills interviews.  Our in-depth interview processes allows our recruiters to qualify the following information on each candidate: Work eligibility documentation, Level of communication skills, Career work history and specific project descriptions, Detailed project responsibilities, Technologies used and level of experience achieved
  5. Reference checks - STSi conducts three professional reference checks on our all our consultants before we submit their résumés to our clients.  We specifically look for email responses from a corporate email address for the reference as this validates the authenticity of references.  A member of the STSi recruiting staff conducts professional reference checks to obtain and verify the following information: 
    1. Dates of employment, Position and project responsibilities
    2. Reporting relationships
    3. Technical strengths and weaknesses, Interpersonal skills
    4. Notable project accomplishments
    5. Creativity/initiative/character, Analytical and problem solving skills and Career growth potential
  6. Background Checks - It has been our observation that the background check requirements vary from client to client.  STSi has the capability to conduct various types of background checks depending on each client requirement.  We use various third party companies to conduct the background checks.  We also have relationships with international agencies to conduct educational and employment checks for foreign nationals.
